APOLOGIA

My level of posting has gone down. Part of that is due to the fact that I'm teaching in a trailer, and there are challenges to that. Part of it is that I currently have a longer commute. Part of it is that my church has two services now, necessitating an additional rehearsal. Really, between that and my fantasy baseball league and Knights softball and Cafe Scientifique and working with the Bullard Acadec team....I'm overextended.

So, it actually took a real effort for me to find the time to even watch the Presidential debate. I thought Obama handled himself well, raising his stock with uncommiteds, but there was no game-changing moments for either player. But, really, that's all the time I have for analysis. Just generating this post moments before I have to leave for rehearsal is....rushed.

With that in mind, I'm going to try to revitalize my blog with some posts referencing past events, particularly in science education, and try to connect the dots with upcoming events, including my high school reunion and the upcoming 'Origins' conference at Cal Tech. More to come!

The real action wasn't last night. The real action is on Thursday when the Beauty faces the Biden.

You shouldn't spread yourself too thin. That's the way everyone could come up a little short. You find yourself rushing just to keep up with all your commitments. You do it but, in the process, lose some or all of the enjoyment. That's no good. Maybe you should put the blog on hold for a while. Allow the other stuff to shake out and then come back to it with a fresh mind.

Hey Scott, What event(s) were you planning on attending at the DHS reunion? I'll be at everything but the Sunday picnic. Looking forward to seeing you there.

I'm going to attend the Friday cocktail function at Club Muroc, arrive fashionably late to the banquet on Saturday evening (I'm attending a conference at Caltech), then do the Sunday BBQ.

I wish I could talk Jamie into doing one of these events, but his calendar seems to forbid it.
