BASKING GLORY
Not everybody's bandwidth or download speed may be up to this HD video of a basking shark (my computer creaks and stutters, frankly), but my goodness, this is pretty awesome. Check out the details of the shark's skin as it glides past the photographer (Dan Burton), mouth agape, straining the seawater for plankton. Beautiful!

WIENER, NOT SO MOBILE
WIENER, NOT SO MOBILE
Actually, here's what happened. A group of GOP activists heard about how Obama had put up a liberal Judge for SOTUS, named Sotomayor, and . . . well . . . .

POSTING VACUUM
I haven't posted much lately here, but I have been having a spirited exchange with pro-life activist Roberta Genini of Fresno in the on-line Opinion pages of the Fresno Bee. Roberta is a fellow educator and a former President of Fresno-Madera Right-To-Life.
Roberta's original letter (June 26) was something of a 'damage control' piece to disassociate her movement from those who attempt to assassinate abortion providers. My reply (published July 1st) essentially pooh-poohs her strained analogy from history and suggests that her argument is a smoke screen for her true motivations, assumptions which are based on faith rather than evidence.
You can read our exchange here.
